Reviews frequently highlight thorough inspections, careful explanations, and effective follow-up, especially for mice and carpenter ant issues. Many customers mention technicians taking time to seal small gaps and place bait or traps thoughtfully. Some feedback notes occasional scheduling or communication delays, though overall satisfaction with results is strong. Pricing is described as fair to slightly high by a few reviewers, with work quality seen as the main value.

Alan was wonderful, very informative & helpful. He went above & beyond to exterminate the carpenter ants & excellent job on mouse traps including adding steal wool in all my crevices Outside!! Job well done Alan, see you in the spring.

Alan strikes again!! They are the GOAT, always a full thorough check through even into our attic and basement drop ceiling for our mice problem other companies could not “fix”. He filled our bait station up and filled some holes with steel wool for us that he found out in this cold!! Since we have had Alan we haven’t had any issues. Love seeing his detailed explanations and evaluation notes whenever he comes. This company better appreciate him!

Sincerely Marissa and Steve:)

Christopher Sullivan on Catseye Pest Control - Boston, MA

I began using Catseye for a little more than a year now when I started getting hornets/wasps sneaking into my house. After our first inspection I opted for the full coverage at $99.00/month that covers my home inside/outside and end to end. And so far the house has been free of insects and rodents.

However, where Catseye fails is giving me plenty of notice when they will be coming for their next visit. While I know they come every two months I never know when exactly until the day before. I work a 9-5pm job during the week and cannot always just leave my job to let Catseye into my house in between visits.

There have been a few time they came, just sprayed the outside of my house and I've gone four months without an inside visit due to my availability. This is where I feel I am not getting what I am paying for when Catseye will call/text sometimes when they are on the way to my home while I am at work or let me know the day before the come.

In addition, there have been times I've called Catseye asking if a note can be added to my file/account the hours I am available so I don't miss a visit. And there are time I have to call and call back Catseye to ask when EXACTLY are they coming the month I'm due for a visit so I can prepare and still hear nothing until the day before or day of.

Catseye gets 3 stars because while I do like them, they are convenient, they really need to work better on scheduling appointments, FOLLOWING UP WITH THEIR CUSTOMERS and making sure you get what you pay for monthly.

Gary has been meticulously maintaining our property for years and does an amazing job. His strong customer service and pest control skills are most appreciated. Gary always takes the time to listen to any concerns or observations we have and makes sure everything is safe for our kids at the same time. We are very happy with our service thanks to Gary. He is the best. His coworker Christian who was shadowing him was also very helpful and had some excellent feedback about dealing with summer pests next year. Thank you!

There was a bit of a delay with communication and scheduling, but once I followed up, the technician (Kiefer) came the next day, he was personable and knowledgeable, and worked efficiently and completely. Seemed to eradicate the problem in one go. The fee felt a little high for a fairly straightforward process but not much you can do about that! Overall, pleased with the work, and I’d use them again.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common calls include mice and other rodents, carpenter ants, wasps and hornets, and general crawling insects. Service approaches are adapted for dense city housing and mixed-use buildings. Inspections help determine activity level, entry points, and the best treatment plan. Recommendations also cover prevention steps to reduce future issues.

Both options are available. One-time services target a specific issue, while ongoing plans provide routine inspections and treatments to prevent recurrence. The right choice depends on the building, pest pressure, and season. Your technician can explain the differences and expected visit frequency.

The technician will inspect interior and exterior areas, identify activity and entry points, and discuss findings. Treatment may include placing monitors or bait stations, sealing small gaps, and applying targeted products. You’ll receive notes on what was done and any recommended follow-ups. Access to basements, attics, or utility areas helps ensure a complete assessment.

Availability varies by season, but weekday appointments are common with limited Saturday hours. If timing is important, mention preferred windows when you call. The team will confirm the next open slot and advise on preparation steps. For certain pests, sooner is better to prevent spread.

Clear access to problem areas, especially kitchens, basements, and utility spaces. Store food and pet items as advised, and tidy under sinks or along baseboards where inspections occur. The technician may provide additional prep steps based on the pest type. Following these steps helps treatments work effectively.
