0-Star Review – Extremely DisappointedI used Hawx Pest Control for both interior and exterior treatments, and at first they actually did a thorough job. They used to de-web the windows, apply preventative treatment around entry points, and properly address spider and ant issues. That completely changed. The last several visits, the technician would show up, spend maybe 4–5 minutes walking around the house with a small sprayer, and then leave. No de-webbing. No detailed exterior treatment. No preventative barrier work like they used to do. Just a quick spray and gone.I have video footage showing how little was actually done. When I canceled service and explained I wasn’t paying for a treatment that clearly wasn’t performed properly, I was told there was “nothing they could do” and that I still owed the money. No accountability. No effort to make it right. No offer to re-service the property. If you’re paying for professional pest control, you expect professional service — not a rushed walkthrough that lasts a few minutes.I would not recommend Hawx Pest Control based on my recent experience. Quality dropped significantly, and customer service was unwilling to resolve a legitimate concern.
Avoid this place! They're liars and thieves. They'll tell you one thing and then change the contract and charge you multiple times for the same service. And they are not flexible they tell you that you should have read your contract despite the fact that you were lied to from the salespeople. To end service they charged me not only the service fee but the next month's fee for a service that I didn't get. The customer service is awful. Good luck trying to speak to a supervisor they won't help you either. Get a different company. Just to get a person on the phone you'll wait 30 minutes. You will have to pay $200 to get out of the contract with them. I happily paid them $200 to end my service contract, anything to not do business with them ever again if anyone asks I'll tell them don't walk away RUN. Hopefully I've been clear on how miserable I've been with them and how awful this company is.
Normally I don't share reviews, however in this particular case I feel the need I should. If I could give Hawx a 0/10, I would. To begin, when setting up our contract with them, we were told one thing, but only to have it be changed without us knowing. We were locked into a one-year contract with them that would automatically renew after the 12 months. We were told that they would come out every month for service, however after the first month of service, they then said that they are coming out every three months, but STILL charging us $65.00 per month, even though services were not provided. We have had on MULTIPLE accounts that we were schedule a time for the service to be done and NO ONE would show up. No text. No call. No show. This was EXTREMLY frustrating as one of us had to take off of work to let them inside the house. And not to mention...why are you giving me a time frame of 8am - 8pm??!! Don't you know that other people work!Towards the end, we were continuously getting charged different fees on our account, one being a second $65.00 ever though we already paid the 65.00 at the start of the month.Long story short...we called and cancelled out service and pulled out of this "contract" early. Working with Hawx was nothing but a hassle and extremely frustrating. I would NEVER recommend Hawx to anyone and I would suggest if you have read this far down...FIND ANOTHER COMPANY! One that is local to your area and not a massive chain that is just wanting to take your money!I am so happy to have washed my hands of this place.
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. In my experience, their sales tactics felt deceptive and manipulative. The representatives sound convincing, but in my case they left out critical information about what I was actually paying for. Based on how I was treated, I would not trust a single thing that comes out of Daniel Armada’s mouth. What upset me most is that they seemed willing to take advantage of a teenager trying to help their sick mother someone who couldn’t call herself to confirm the details. I was told one thing about the service and then discovered they either didn’t do what they promised or did only part of it, followed by pushing additional charges for things I believed were already included. The whole “100% guarantee we’ll get rid of your pest problem” meant nothing unless I paid more than what I was originally told. And don’t expect any decency when it comes to billing. That “$199 cancellation fee” that was never mentioned upfront? They charged it anyway. This company caused me nothing but stress, frustration, and unexpected expenses. Save yourself the headache and your money by avoiding them completely.
BEWARE OF THE MARKETING TACTICS — this company is dishonest and will lock you into a contract that’s nearly impossible to get out of.First, I want to say that our technician Nick was amazing — professional, friendly, and thorough. Unfortunately, the company itself operates very differently. When I first called Hawks, I asked multiple times for the cost of service and was never told it was a subscription-based model.I only found out after receiving repeated messages from them. When I called to cancel (just three days later), I was told I was locked into a 12-month contract and would have to pay $200 to cancel. When I asked about using the $150 promotion texted to my phone, the account manager (Alex or Alexus) was rude and dismissive, saying it “didn’t apply” and that the promotion “wasn’t real.” I even mentioned the $350 off promotion listed on their website, and he said that didn’t apply either. This entire experience has left me disappointed and frustrated. I wish I had never come across this company. If I could give zero stars, I would.
