I contacted P&R Pest Control for a carpenter ant problem. I described my home size and was quoted $580. The price seemed high, but I assumed it would involve a detailed process to fully eliminate the ants.They came when they said they would and told me to leave the house while they sprayed, mentioning more than once that the chemical they use “can’t be bought at Home Depot.” The treatment took about 10 minutes in one bedroom and roughly 20 minutes around the rest of the house. I was told to wait 4 days to see results, but there was no guarantee the ants would be gone. The invoice was sent right away.Unfortunately, I still have ants. I decided not to call them back for another treatment since there was no guarantee and I didn’t want to risk paying another large bill. Looking back, I wish I had compared services, guarantees, and chemical details with other companies—especially because my son has allergies.I’m sharing my experience so other homeowners know to ask questions before booking, such as:What chemicals will be used?How long will the treatment take?Is there a guarantee or follow-up if the problem persists?Will protective equipment be used? which they didn't use anyCan a detailed breakdown be provided on the bill? which there was none. I can't imagine the spray was $300.00For me, the cost for the time spent and whatever product was used did not feel justified. Repeating that the chemical “can’t be bought at Home Depot” several times also didn’t sit well with me—of course I can’t buy it there, that’s why I was hiring a professional.!I’m disappointed, but I also recognize I didn’t know what other companies charge and only called two places—the one that happened to answer is the one I booked.- Very Expensive

After living out in the country for many years and seeing ant nests around the house starting to get bigger, it was just a matter of time that they’d get into the house. After a record breaking rain fall, we started seeing a couple one day to many more each day after. They got so bad that they were falling on us in the kitchen or crawling on us while sitting on the couch.After my wife called, we had Roger come out a few days later when I was off work. We were told that it might get bad for a couple days as the spray works its magic. Well, that night we came home and only saw dead ants in a few areas. The next day, not a single live ant anywhere.. not even outside around the massive nests or my deck that always has at least one visible somewhere. Just all gone! Wife is happy so life is good! Roger is a very friendly, funny, knowledgeable guy that gets the job done. Will definitely be getting an annual outside spray to prevent any other issues. Wish I called these guys when I had a mouse issue. Don’t call the big name franchise places… learned my lesson. Support these guys that actually care and get results!
My cat caught a mouse early in the morning last week and we wanted to solve the issue fast. Roger fit us in same day and quickly knew where it had gotten in. He checked our property for entrances and helped us with what to fix and fill in so it doesn’t happen again. Roger was also super friendly and knowledgeable. Thanks for helping us so quickly.
