I have regular service by Orkin at my home. They spray with natural products for rodents and insects. I do not have issues with rodents in my yard or near my house nor bugs in the house. I’ve been very pleased with the service I typically have the same Orkin man, Anthony. Your technician contacts you of your upcoming appointment and The day of service when they will arrive and then shortly before they arrive so you know that they’re coming. I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Orkin and would not recommend them to anyone.Quick Highlights:Dead mouse left in my home for over a month after being reported.Billing numbers changed repeatedly with no explanation.Charged after cancellation and forced to dispute with my bank.Unresponsive and dismissive customer service.Full Review:First, there was a serious service failure where a dead mouse was left in a trap in my home for over a month (nearly two). I reported it to my tech in early July, but no service occurred until August 25th. Leaving a dead animal in a customer's home for that length of time is unacceptable.Second, I attempted to cancel services on October 16th, but their billing records were inconsistent and contradictory throughout the email exchanges in October, November, and December. I provided bank statements showing $895 in successfully processed payments, which are the only figures that remained consistent. In contrast, Orkin provided conflicting totals over time:- On 10/28, they claimed only $648 in total payments were received and a balance of $216 was due ($870 in total service costs).- On 11/4 they provided a breakdown supporting those figures.- On 11/11, the total payments received suddenly increased from $648 to $895 without explanation, despite only one additional $72 charge occurring on 11/9, yet they still claimed $144 was owed, now stating total service costs of $1,045.When I pointed out these discrepancies on 11/12, Orkin did not respond.At the time I submitted my cancellation notice, my online account showed a $0 balance, yet Orkin continued attempting to charge my card and claimed additional money was owed after I stopped receiving services based on shifting internal accounting. They tried charging my card again on 12/10, which I had to dispute with my bank.Between the missed service, inconsistent billing, lack of transparency, unresponsive and unhelpful customer service, this experience was frustrating and exhausting. For a company of this size, I expected far better accountability and professionalism.
After not being allowed to cancel my service online I called the company and after wating on hold for 15 min the lady wound not let me cancel my appointment and kept trying to reschedule it for a later date. I really dont care if your policy says you cant cancel a service within 30 days. Thats not my problem. She said "oh your being rude I can't help you and hung up on me" im putting a fraud alert on my card for any charges.I dont want your services and im sorry you can't accept our braking up with my wallet.I've had this service for years and if I choose to start pest control services up again. It will not be with orkin.
